I would like to know how many writers have difficulties getting paid from PRO's. I had one of my songs played background on an HBO episode that aired numerous times over the first and second quarters of 2009. I have not received 1 penny from BMI to date. According to the BMI pay out schedule I would have recieved a payment by now. My only payment for the song so far is the initial license fee payed by my MLP. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to extend a big thank you, for sharing your experience with everyone. I'm fortunate because I have some instrumentals that are being aired right now on MTV2, and I just saw another played today during a commercial for the show that I already have the theme placement for, wow that was such a rush. At any rate your message was well received, and greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!!!

BEST WISHES,
Charlie Mac

this is an extremely informative and specific entry. I recently had a song of mine chosen for the theme to a cartoon that is airing internationally and I've been wondering what my royalty statements will look like.

I hope to read more great posts on this blog.
